The shocking news of Aryan Khan being arrested in a drug extortion case had led to a major uproar in the Indian media, followed by a massive backlash. While Aryan Khan received clean chit in the case, in May this year, however, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a FIR against Sameer Wankhede, the officer in charge at Narcotics Control Bureau along with a few officials of the NCB who have been accused of bribery and extortion against Khan family. Latest reports suggest that the CBI will be summoning Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan to record their statements pertaining to the extortion case. Akshay Kumar has briefly commented about his array of failures at the box office in the past year. In 2022, the actor faced a string of flops including Bachchhan Paandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, and Ram Setu. Even this year’s Selfiee failed to make any waves at the box office. The actor has now admitted that box office numbers do bother him. Actress Ameesha Patel recently surrendered at the Ranchi Civil Court in connection to a cheque bounce case. She was granted bail by the senior division judge DN Shukla and was asked to appear before the court again on June 21. The case dates back to 2018 when producer and businessman Ajay Kumar Singh accused her of not returning the money she allegedly took from him to produce a film. Ameesha has opened up on the case through a statement, which read, “I am inundated with messages from my fans and well-wishers, regarding certain matters at Ranchi. I have since the inception of the case maintained gracefully silent that I choose to continue to keep and respectfully let the law take its due course. Kasauti Zindagi Kay fame Cezanne Khan has refuted claims of an FIR being filed against him for alleged domestic violence and extortion. Responding to the report, Cezanne Khan dismissed the allegations and referred to the woman making the accusations as "obsessed." He emphasized that no FIR has been filed, stating, "Aisa kuch hua hi nahi hai (Nothing like that happened)."  In a conversation with News18, Khan reacted to the woman claiming that she is his wife. He asserted, “Anybody can do anything,” and added, “Nothing has come to me. She is obsessed. I don’t want to talk about it. This is bull**it." Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has made an investment in Cartel & Bros, an alcobev (alcoholic beverage) startup aiming to import and retail a range of liquor brands in India. The startup's initial offering is Glenwalk, a blended Scotch whisky imported from Scotland. Future plans include introducing vodka, tequila, and single malt brands.  Mokksh Sani, one of the five partners of the venture and promoter of liquor retail chain Living Liquidz, revealed that the company has secured a factory lease in Scotland. The aim is to price the products affordably, making them accessible to a broader base of young consumers. Despite the challenges associated with the regulated alcobev industry, including complex regulations, state-level taxation, and price controls, the team behind Cartel & Bros remains optimistic.
